18th June 2020 - coronavirus (COVID-19)
From Monday 15th June 2020 Optometry Practices in England moved to the next phase of the guidance given to us by NHSE and the optical governing bodies. This latest phase allows us to offer appointments to patients requiring urgent, emergency or essential eyecare and eyewear and if you are concerned about any aspect of your eye health or vision you should contact us via telephone or via Email.
If you are due a routine eye examination please bear with us, but rest assured we will contact you as soon as we are able to offer a more routine service.
In this interim phase we have revised the hours that the Practice is open to allow us to carry out additional tasks within the Practice ensuring the safety of all of our patients. The revised hours mean that from Monday 22nd June we will be open as per the detail below; these temporary hours will be revised as we move into the next phase of guidance. Outside these hours the phone will be available for you to discuss any queries or concerns.
Monday 9.00am – 5.00pm
Tuesday 9.00am – 5.00pm
Thursday 9.00am – 5.00pm
Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm
11th June 2020 - coronavirus (COVID-19)
We are now in the planning stage for how we can safely welcome more patients into the Practice and under what restrictions. We have carried out a risk assessment and that has resulted in some small changes within the practice that are designed to keep everybody safe.
The plan is that Tim will be in the Practice on a Tuesday and Friday and available using some of these new restrictions. As we adapt to a new way of working these days will increase and we will keep you updated. Outside these hours continue to use the phone or Email to contact us.
We continue to provide emergency and essential eyecare and if you are concerned about any aspect of your eye health or vision you should contact us via telephone or via Email
NHS guidelines mean we are still not able to offer routine eye examinations, we will update you as and when this situation changes.
13th May 2020 - coronavirus (COVID-19)
The recent Government update has resulted in no change to the status of the Practice. We continue to have a closed door policy, however, we are available via telephone and Email and if necessary will arrange an appointment to see you in the Practice. Our suppliers are available to us if we need to order new pairs, replacement items or a supply of contact lenses.
